Mr. and Mrs. Adams and 36 Wooster High School Band students traveled through Europe in the Summer of 1999. Students were selected by nomination and audition to perform with a Band and Choir made up of students from throughout Ohio.

Sponsored by American Music Abroad, the trip was centered around performances in concert halls and public venues throughout Belgium, Germany, France, England, and Wales..

June 17-19:  Oberlin College.

• Rehearsals and Farewell Concert.

June 20-22:  Brussels, Belgium; Bonn, Koblenz & Rudesheim, Germany.

• Arrive and then board coach for travel to Bonn.

• Guided tour of Beethoven's House and Museum.

• Visit Marksburg Castle on the Rhine River.

June 23-24:  Wurzburg & Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany.

• Sightseeing in Wurzburg.

June 25:  Heidelberg Germany; Strasbourg, France.

• Visit ancient castle overlooking Heidleberg.

• Concert in the beautiful Alsace region of France.

June 26-27:  Paris, France.

• Shopping and sightseeing in Paris.

• Concert in the famous Luxembourg Gardens.

• Evening cable car ride up the Eiffel Tower.

• Visit the Musee d'Orsay.

The staff enjoys lunch in a Paris cafe.	The waiter was a hoot.

• "Painter's Square" area of Montmarte.

• Guided tour of Paris viewing all the famous sites.

• Dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe Paris.

• Evening cruise on the Seine River.

June 28-29:  London, England.

• Chunnel train crossing of English Channel.

• Dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe London.

• Guided sightseeing tour of London.

• See the "Changing of the Guard" at Buckingham Palace.

• Attend a live theatre performance in London's West End.

June 30:  Stonehenge & Bath, England; Wales.

• Stonehenge.

• Roman Baths and museum.

• Travel to Wales and attend civic reception.

July 1-2:  Wales; Stratford-upon-Avon.

• Visit Cardiff Castle.

• Trip down "The Big Pit", an ancient coal mine.

• Guided tour of Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's home.

• Friendship concert with Welsh student musicians.

July 3:  Gent, Belgium.

• Cross the Channel to Calais and travel to ancient city of Gent.

• Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
