January 28, 2002
Dear Parents of WHS Symphonic Band Members,
We should all be very proud of the students in our Symphonic Band. They have
been working extremely hard and have been applying their extraordinary talents
in preparation for their performance for the Ohio Music Education Association
Professional Conference on Thursday, February 7 at 2:00 PM.
We also have been working diligently at developing an itinerary that enhances
our experience as we travel to Cincinnati. Through generous donations and other
fundraising efforts, we have been able to fund a large portion of the trip costs.
However, we are asking for a small payment from each family in order to help
cover the balance of the transportation and lodging costs.
We are asking that each member of the Symphonic Band contribute $35 by Wednesday, February 6th to help defray travel expenses (one per family). Checks are preferred and can be made payable to WHS Music Parents. I understand the concerns of additional payments in lieu of a looming New York City payment. However, wonderful opportunities such as this are not always timely.
Please understand that you are invited to be a part of the audience on the day
of our performance. Your attendance at the concert would make it all that more
special for the students in the band. If you can make yourself available on
February 7, please feel free to attend. Friends and parents are invited (no
pass needed) and need only arrive by 2:00 PM at the Millennium Hotel Grand Ballroom
to enjoy the performance.
Attached you will find the following items of information related to our trip:

Thank you so much for supporting your childs interest in music. It will
continue to provide them with lifelong opportunities such as this. If you have
any questions, please feel free to call or email (whsmusic@mac.com).
Sincerely,
Dan Adams
