The Making of the Fin

One of the fun effects in the Movie Show was a shark fin cruising around the field, chasing and eating members of the band. One band member fit inside and carried the fin as it terrorized the players on the field.

PVC pipe, wire, chicken-wire, fabric, and several roles of duct tape (of course!) hold Jaws' fin together. The next problem; how do you get a ten-foot tall fin to an away game?

The man behind the dorsal fin...

Bob, a trumpet player in the band, rehearsed his sharky role many times to perfect the timing.

The Great White Shark fears no one in the ocean. However, Bob's greatest enemy was a good gust of wind! Maneuvering this thing around the field was no simple task - it required all the umph he could muster.
